EHS Football Players of the Week 9/29

The Easley High School Twitter account today announced this week’s Players of the Week following their big win over Southside this past Friday night. The Green Wave defeated the Southside Tigers 42-0 to become 4-1 on the season.

The following players were given Player of the Week honors:

Skill Players of the Week

Kalab Sutton: Offensive Skill Player of the Week

Sophomore QB Kalab Sutton was named offensive skill player of the week with 283 passing yards for 3 touchdowns and 51 yards rushing for 2 more touchdowns.

So far this season Sutton has a .591 completion percentage, 8 TD passes, and 5 rushing TDs.

Noah Pierce: Defensive Skill Player of the Week

Senior OLB/SS Noah Pierce boasted 7 total tackles (3 solos, 4 assisted) with 2 of them being for a loss. He also had a fumble recovery and interception.


Linemen Players of the Week

Jonathan Welsh: Offensive Lineman of the Week

Junior Jonathan Welsh led the offensive line in a huge effort to allow his offense to put up 42 points on the road for the big victory.

Sam DiPietro: Defensive Lineman of the Week

Senior Sam DiPietro led the defensive line with 4 tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) in the rout of Southside on Friday night.


Special Teams Player of the Week

Noah Pierce: Special Teams Player of the Week

Senior Noah Pierce was also named Special Teams Player of the Week.


The Green Wave takes on rival Pickens Blue Flame tonight at 7:00 PM in Pickens.
