We looked at the historical records for Upstate, SC to see the last time we got down to 28 degrees on October 19th.

According to the National Weather Service, the lowest recorded temperature in the area on October 19, was 32 degrees in 2009.

Daily maximum and minimum records for each day of October in the Greenville-Spartanburg area from the National Weather Service.

We have a new low temperature for the record books. Temperatures are expected to get back down to 30 degrees tonight.

So, turn on your heat if you haven’t, let your faucets drip to keep pipes from freezing, and bring in any plants that survive indoors.
