Dr. David Jones running for Ward 4 city council seat

Dr. David R. Jones filed his Statement of Intention of Candidacy for the Easley City Council Ward 4 seat on February 28, 2023 at the City Hall. The vacancy created by the passing of councilman Terry Moore in January. A election will be held on April 25, 2023.

Dr. David R. Jones of Easley, SC

Dr. David Jones has declined to be interviewed at this time, but shared the following statement with the Easley Citizen on March 6, 2023:

Dr. David Jones is from Easley and loves his hometown.  He is a graduate of Easley High School, a Navy Veteran and a local business owner who knows how to run a business.  As a veteran, he is a consummate supporter of all first responders – Police, Firemen, EMS and others.

Over the years, he has seen many changes, some good and some not so good.  Friends and neighbors have shared deep concerns over mounting traffic congestion and massive housing developments.  He is extremely alarmed with comments shared… that THE CITY is not listening to the citizens.

As a result of these ongoing matters, David decided to run for Ward 4.  He believes it is time for new leadership and vision on the Council.   He truly knows Easley – he lives and sees what his neighbors are fretful of.  He will be a champion for Easley.

It is his promise and commitment to represent WARD 4 with open communication, responsiveness and accountability.  He will be part of the solution focusing on and prioritizing the citizens that live here.

Your vote on April 25 for David Jones is a vote for your voice and concerns to be heard and answered by THIS councilman.
