Coroner identifies woman killed after 2-vehicle crash in Upstate

The coroner has identified the driver who was killed in a crash in Easley.

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office has identified the driver who was killed in a crash in Easley.

The coroner said the crash happened on Gentry Memorial Highway at Rice Road.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2004 Lincoln Navigator was headed east, and a 2008 Nissan Titan truck was headed west on Highway 8.

Troopers say the Nissan truck crossed the center line and collided with the Lincoln.

The driver of the Lincoln was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the Nissan truck was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The coroner has identified the driver of the Lincoln as Margaret Omega Kelley, 82, of Easley.

According to the coroner, Kelley was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The coroner says Kelley’s cause of death was due to blunt-force trauma

This crash is still being investigated by the SCHP.
