The Pickens County Coroner’s Office has identified a pedestrian who died after being struck by a train.
The coroner says it happened at around 7:50 p.m., at the railroad tracks near Highway 8 on Fleetwood Drive in Easley.
The corner has identified the pedestrian as James Flowe, 31, of Easley.
Flowe was taken to Prisma Health but was pronounced dead in the emergency room, the coroner says.
According to the coroner, Flowe’s cause of death was blunt force trauma.
The incident is being investigated by the Pickens Coroner’s Office, Easley Police Department and Norfolk Southern.
